The Oberlin Food Hub is a proud past recipient of the Ohio School Council’s preferred vendor status for distribution of local food. Our work includes partnerships with Feed Our Future, Pisanick Partners, and dozens of local farmers, producers, school districts and partner organizations.

We are committed to making local food accessible to all. Our collaborative efforts over the last decade have supported and enabled millions of dollars of local food spending by school districts around the state. Our current efforts are focused on creating supply chain solutions to connect our robust network of local food producers to districts around our region.

The farm-to-school movement is vibrant and growing! According to the National Farm to School Network, 23.6 million schoolchildren at over 42,000 schools in the US benefit from farm-to-school programs. Farm-to-school programs are proven to stimulate the local economy, improve kids’ access to fresh fruits and vegetables, and increase children’s willingness to try new foods, especially healthier foods.
